VISUALISATION: The Green Pyramid
Imagine that you are sitting in the middle of a green pyramid. Remember that the pyramid should have a floor as well as four sides that meet in an apex. Let it be as large as necessary. (If you are protecting a room or a building, it should completely enclose this. If you are protecting yourself, it should go right around and beneath you.)
When the pyramid is the right size, take your attention up to the apex. Picture a bright light coming in from the apex and shining all around the pyramid. Let this light sweep out the pyramid, transmuting any negative energies into positive ones. Then allow the light to heal and revitalize the space within the pyramid.
Leaving the pyramid in place, slowly bring your attention back into your body and be aware that the room, or house, (or yourself) is now protected by the pyramid. Take your attention down to your feet and re-earth yourself by allowing your grounding cable to pass through the base of the pyramid and into the earth (in emergencies you can withdraw the cable inside the pyramid).
When you are ready, open your eyes and move around.

EXERCISE: Chakra shutters
Sitting comfortably in an upright chair, close your eyes and establish a gentle breathing rhythm. Encase yourself in a light bubble to protect your energy.
Take your attention down to the base of your spine. Visualise a whirling vortex of energy and then picture a pair of shutters closing over the spot, shutting out the light. Practise opening and closing these shutters a few times until it becomes automatic. (You will be able to sense the difference within your body as the chakra opens and closes.)
Then bring your attention to the sacral chakra immediately below your navel. Picture this as full of light, and then close the shutters across. Open and close this chakra until it is automatic.
Then bring your attention up to your solar plexus and once more visualise the chakra open, and then close it off with the shutters.
Move on up to the heart chakra, opening and closing it a few times. (You may also be able to sense the higher heart chakra, in which case practise opening and closing this as well.)
Then take your attention to your throat and check this chakra. Open and close it before moving up to the brow chakra (above and between your eyebrows), and finally move to the top of your head for the crown chakra.
Once you are confident you can open and close the chakras at will, practise running your mind up and down your spine to assess the state of your chakras.
Before you bring your attention back into the room, take your mind to the ground underneath your feet. A short distance below your feet is the earth chakra. Sense whether this is open or closed and practise shutting it. Before completing the exercise, make sure your earth chakra is open and functioning well.
Bring your attention fully back into the room. Then stand up and feel your feet firmly on the floor. Have a good stretch and breathe deeply to ground yourself once more
Note: You may find other chakras, in which case practice opening and closing these.
If you find it difficult to visualise, you can use your hands to simulate the opening and closing of the chakra shutters until you can sense the difference between an open and closed chakra.
